Rosemary Sassoon [roma 2008]

I assisted at a workshop given by Rosemary Sassoon in Rome about designing
typefaces for Children. I found very inspiring the lectures Rosemary gave,
therefore besides the design of a Children's typeface I decided to write an essay
for my class of history of design about the font "Sassoon Primary" designed by
Rosemary for children's reading and writing.
So here I show the typeface I designed for children's use, inspired by geometrical
shapes. The idea is that you give the basic geometrical forms to kid: square,
triangle and circle and after showing them some example on how they can design
the different letters, you give them the freedom to do it themselves the way they
want it.
